Yes, you may host your friends. If you want your friends to have their own control panels for their sites, you'll need to get a reseller account. A reseller account allows you to host multiple domains in one account. You set these domains up in your reseller control panel, and then your friends or customers get their own domain level control panels to set up data bases, email accounts, etc.
